What we collect and why
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, property area, town or locality and message. You may also choose a service or type of care. The submission includes its language and source page. Our service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and delivery or security logs.
We use this information to reply, understand the help requested and prepare an assessment or quotation. Where you ask us to arrange services, the basis is taking steps at your request before a contract. For general correspondence and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and preventing abuse.
Sending an enquiry is optional. Without the required contact and property details, we may be unable to respond or assess the request. Please do not submit access codes, financial information or other sensitive details.
Who processes it
Web3Forms receives and delivers form submissions. Correspondence is held in our Google Workspace mailbox. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide website hosting, delivery and security. Information is made available to these providers as needed to operate those services. We do not sell enquiry details or add you to a marketing mailing list.
International processing
Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Web3Forms operates from India and describes Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement. Google Workspace also publishes its data processing and international transfer terms. You can read these safeguards through the provider links below or ask us for details.
How long we keep enquiries
If an enquiry does not become a client relationship, we delete our inbox copies 12 months after the last contact, unless specific information is needed for legal obligations or claims. If you become a client, we explain any additional processing and retention when arranging the work.
Web3Forms states that submission data may be retained for up to three years, subject to its plan and deletion arrangements. Deleting an email from our inbox does not itself delete provider-held copies. Contact us if you want us to request earlier deletion of your submission.
Cookies and decisions
We have not added advertising or visitor analytics to this website. Hosting and security services may use essential cookies and technical logs. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means, or use enquiry details for profiling.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive portable data where applicable. These rights are subject to their legal conditions. Email info@byshorehouse.com; we may need to confirm your identity before handling a request.
You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, or the supervisory authority where you live or work.
